If you had to choose between these two rifles, which would it be? I’m interested in either an AK-47 or FAL. After shooting both, I like the larger .308 that the FAL shoots… but the barrel is just so front heavy. On the other hand, the AK is just so light and easy to handle. My only complaint is that it’s hard to really get an accurate shot beyond a certain point.

PS. I was able to put my first 3 shots with the FAL on my target, using only the iron sights at 100 yards. Not bad for a beginner? 🙂
I imagine with the lightness of the AK you would have to compensate for the kickback. Where do you go locally to shoot the FAL?
get the FAL. the weight factor can diminish over time but there’s no substitution for consistent accuracy. sniper rifle ammo ftmfw

FAL has the  cool factor  and the AK is famous as the bad guys gun .. while AK is hard to destroy and tops the list as one of the best rifle, I would still go with FAL
Did you consider PTR91 ? ( made from the prints and tooling purchased from G3/HK91 )
