Kevin Richardson has dedicated his life to being a part of some of the most dangerous animals in the planet. He’s nurtured several species such as lions and hyenas. This is a long video, but it was interesting to see the relationship he had with these creatures.

Baby Back Ribs and Steak
This weekend I used the pressure cooker with Annie to cook some baby back ribs. Damn were they good.

Here’s a rib eye steak I cooked. Medium, just the way Annie likes it.

I think I’ve got it down to a science now. All I need to do is learn how to cut against the grain a little better. ^_^
Lion Dance at Good Fortune
I went to watch Steven’s lion dance from last week. It’s always nice to get dim sum and watch some friends perform.

Here’s a video of them doing the lion dance.
Tiramisu for $6
Annie got me an awesome coffee flavored Tiramisu from Harris Teeter. It was actually really good. I can’t believe it was only $6.

The Sushi Grandmaster
It’s always awesome to see how insanely passionate people are when they devote their entire lives to their work.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi is a documentary on 85-year-old sushi master Jiro Ono, his business in the basement of a Tokyo office building, and his relationship with his son and eventual heir, Yoshikazu.

This video was shot beautifully, accompanied by wonderful music that carried the story. Sukiyabashi Jiro is a 3-star Michelin restaurant in Tokyo that many say serves the best sushi in the world. I love the simplicity of the presentation of both Jiro’s food and the director’s execution of the film.
To anyone who wants inspiration, check this video out. Hat tip: Patrick
