The Giant Pixel Office Interior

Giant Pixel in San Francisco is a software developer occupying three floors near the City’s Mint Plaza, an area known for creative redevelopment and modernity drawn from vintage architecture. With a busy Blue Bottle Coffee shop as neighbor and stylish restaurants just minutes away, Giant Pixel wanted a casual urban look in keeping with its neighborhood.

I’m really loving some of the design elements in this office. The only thing I’d be worried about is noise. Working in an open environment with wood floors is pretty much going to make sound travel. I probably would have installed sound insulation panels on the ceilings. Nonetheless, space is brilliant. Check out more work by O+A, the architecture firm.

One of our neighborhood startups (id.me) is moving to a new location. I had a chance to talk to one of their team members about their new space, and he mentioned that they wanted garage doors. Pretty awesome idea… *making mental note*

Permanent Camping Home

The home was designed by Sydney-based Casey Brown Architecture, who emphasize unpretentious functionalism and a fidelity to climate, topography and lifestyle. Taking those three elements into account, the Mudgee Tower overlaps with the Huckberry lifestyle nicely: warm climates, rolling, untouched topography, and the independent, self-sustained lifestyle that comes with the camping life. –Huckberry.com

Wow, what a lovely view. I love how simple the life is here. It’s probably something I should strive for. It’s easy to get caught up with buying a ton of things. With more things, you need more space. More space means you need a bigger home.

Perhaps it’s time to start simplifying and subtracting.

Montana Home with a Wow Factor View

With a remote location and plenty of lush greenery surrounding the building, this Montana house raises the bar when it comes to contemporary US living. –Freshhome.com

I mean wow, I feel like Montana is the place to be. Perhaps one day I need to get out there. I was watching A River Runs through it the other evening, the the scenery is just stellar.
