Final Fantasy XIII, day one review.

So after playing FF13 for a couple hours, I can give some preliminary feedback about the game thus far:

Pros:
• Graphics on PS3 are phenomenal
• Music excellent
• Gameplay is much faster, even though it’s turn-based
• Interface is slick
• All 3d models and characters have unbelievable detail (like hair, skin etc)

Cons:
• Linear gameplay (fight, then cut scene, repeat)
• Way too easy (compared to Lost Odyssey)
• Story is going nowhere quickly
• The dialog is terrible… probably the worst ever

Should you get it? Only if you are a die hard Final Fantasy junkie. What do you think?

What the internet knows about you.

The internet knows everything about you… even your web browser history. Little do you know, but virtually any website you point your browser to has the ability to look inside your Web browser’s history and determine which websites you visited, allowing it to not only figure out your browsing habits, but also discover your personal preferences. This potentially includes such data as your search engine queries, the location of your and your friends’ Facebook or Twitter profiles, your political affiliation, some information about your medical history and other sensitive and private data. The data could also, with a bit of luck, reveal your real name and location. At the very least, it will provide some information about the news websites you frequent and the on-line stores and products you’re interested in.

Monster designs, from college.

Here’s a sketch I found from back in the college days. This was just a couple characters that were part of a very elaborate story I wrote with Matt (my roommate at the time). I miss drawing and imagining characters.
