Wow, what a cool light. Probably don’t want to step into it, but it’s sweet. I could see this next to an aquarium in someone’s office.
This Deep Sea Angler Fish is made with recycled objects and energy efficient lighting. It stands 5 feet tall with base, 4 feet wide and 5 feet long. When you first look at the fish the light over the head is glowing bright, but when you walk in for a closer look the eyes and body light up using a motion censored light. With a closer look you will see that the fish is made with an assortment of thing like a bicycle, scoop shovel, knifes, and much more. This sculpture is part of a lager sculpture entitled Deep Sea “Creatures of the Deep” that I entered in the 2010 ArtPrize contest. I got in the top 100 out of 1,700 + artists.
