Xmas at the Wong’s

I’m just getting caught up on blogging. I’ve posted most of these photos on other social media, but I figure I might as well document them here too. Better late than never. Heh.

This christmas, my mom made a delicious turkey with stuffing.

DSC_6946

I’m not sure how she does it, but it gets better and better every year.

DSC_6957

And my dad does the honors of carving it up.

DSC_6969

Jack waits patiently, as usual. I love this little guy, but he’s become a food monster.

DSC_6952

I’m not supposed to drink, but I will make exceptions for this occasion.

DSC_6965

I’ve been saving this bottle of Moet for a special occasion that Jim gave me as a farewell gift from AddThis.

DSC_6980

Thanks Jim. Cheers!

DSC_6963

Everyone prepping for dinner.

DSC_6987

Thankfully, I had an old tripod my dad gave me from years ago. As much as I wanted to sell this one off and get a new one, it still came in handy!

DSC_6947

Last but not least, my mom made a delicious home made pecan pie. This was made with love, and tasted delicious! What a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas.

Dinner with the Family in Richmond

DSC_6562

While I was in Richmond, we went out to eat at a couple of places. I tried out a new restaurant called Peter Chan. It was pretty darn good.

DSC_6560

Here’s a photo the fam.

DSC_6586

The next night, we went to Baker’s Crust in Cary Town.

DSC_6581

Here’s a pic of Dad and Michele.

DSC_6577

And here’s a burger that Annie recommended that I try.

DSC_6587

It was a little weird being back in Richmond. Every time I return, Cary Town is a trip down memory lane. It’s nice to see that it hasn’t changed that much.

Lunch with Dad

DSC_6552

My dad and I went to grab some lunch the other day. He took me to an italian sub restaurant near VCU in Richmond.

DSC_6555

Man, it was a freaking good sandwich… and it was reasonably priced!

DSC_6556

Richmond has come a long way—there’s a lot more interesting stuff happening around here.

Michele bought a house!

DSC_6540

So Michele (my lil sis) is officially a home owner.

DSC_6545

She got a great price, a nice house, in an upcoming location in Richmond.

DSC_6551

Everyone is really proud of her. Hopefully she can enjoy some of my furniture from my (recently sold) condo.

Xmas with the Phung’s

DSC_6856

I took a train from Richmond to DC and then the metro to Maryland to hang out with Annie’s family. Here are some photos from the evening.

DSC_6628

This family loves their super heroes.

DSC_6820

And the Phung sisters taking their selfie.

DSC_6740

Xander and Julia on a power board.

DSC_6775

I’m not sure exactly what this pose is, but it’s something that Julia, Carrie and Kent do every year.

DSC_6920

Mr. and Mrs. Phung watching people sing karaoke.

DSC_6926

People love them some karaoke.

DSC_6705

And of course presents.

DSC_6786

Happy holidays everyone!

Flying back to Richmond

DSC_6466

Here are some photos from the plane. I shot this one above Arizona. I can’t believe how densely populated that city is.

DSC_6474

It made for some absolutely gorgeous photos though. I’m going to have to visit this city one day and check out the area.

DSC_6486

I’m really digging the mountains in the background.

DSC_6490

This one was absolutely surreal.

DSC_6499

As the sun set, I was able to capture the horizon.

DSC_6476

Anyway, that was a lot of flying yesterday. Ack, if you look closely, you’ll see some black specs on my pictures. I think I may have to send my camera back in to get it cleaned soon. Doh.
