AddThis analytics have been designed to make it easier to understand how a publisher's content is being shared. The reports include a dashboard, content, audience, services, and geography. By clicking on any of the reports, the publisher can drill down into deeper details.

The AddThis sharing tools are the result of data driven design. To make sharing easier, affordances were measured. Multiple configurations along with auto optimization also increased sharing. The menu also had to scale to accommodate over 300 different services. Most importantly, the tools had to be lightweight, in terms of code and art assets. Because of the AddThis's reach, every pixel and byte costs in the order of thousands per month.
