Here are a couple of ANSI art pieces I did when I was in high school. I feel like finding some old school pieces from my favorite artists and printing them out at the office.

It’s funny that Vinny and I have been working on projects together for so long, after all these years. Those were the days!

Meetup CEO Doesn’t Use a Desk

While over the past few years, some people have started shifting over to a standing desk versus a sitting desk, a select few have opted to ditch their desks all together. Meetup CEO Scott Heiferman is one.

Heiferman doesn’t have a desk or a traditional private office. He works on his laptop or iPad in any available spot in the Meetup headquarters – a temporarily empty seat of another employee, or in the lounge area. He also spends a lot of time in meetings.

The one challenge about forgoing a desk is receiving any mail or messages, Heiferman’s team says. At one point, the staff arranged to have a cart for his mail that would follow him around the office, but that didn’t last. –Business Insider

I can agree with this. I like the idea of a nomadic CEO. Reminds me of some folks like Hooman and Fahad. There are huge benefits to this approach. CEO’s can have a more intimate pulse of what’s happening at ground level. I see Ramsey, our CEO at AddThis, doing this in the VA office as well. Thumbs up.

Audiophile Gear at Best Buy in Springfield VA

IMG_1128.JPG

I didn’t have a chance to take any photos, but man, the Best Buy in Springfield VA was pretty impressive. They had high end headphones as well as pretty sweet speakers. They had the Bowers and Wilkins 800 series speakers in there. The full standing speakers were just insane. I heard a 2 minute demo before they shut down. I’m going to swing by there again in the future just to listen to them. Sorry I don’t have many photos this time… they were literally closing as I walked in yesterday.

Cars and Coffee Pt.2

Here are some more photos from this weekend.

While I like the new look of the Mustangs, I prefer the older ones.

I mean, just look at those lines.

I think the old Corvette Stingrays still look great. Looking forward to the new one coming out soon.

These were probably the craziest muscle cars I’ve seen around here. They’ve been completely modded for the drag strip. The owners actually own titles and win big time cash off of racing. Look at the width of those tires—they were squealing just trying to turn a corner.

Here are some nice ones from Mercedes Benz.

And of course the Delorean had to make its showing, with the gull wings.

Finally, I saw some Lambos.
