Last night I had Foo come over for dinner. We stopped by Harris Teeter and picked up a fresh ribeye steak, shrimp and an onion.

I’m definitely loving the caramelized onions. Glad Annie showed me how to make those.

I’m slowly making progress in the kitchen. I got the new range hood last summer and patched up the walls. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to repaint it. So I finally got around to priming it last night. I’ll be painting the rest of it this weekend.

The next thing will be to update the countertops, replace the sink and faucet.

Here’s the latest setup of my desk. I’ve been debating about simplifying it even more. I’m seriously considering getting a special stand for my monitor. While the books are nice, it’s just not an efficient use of space. I’m thinking about buying one of these little stands to put my laptop under.

I’d like to simplify the layout and reduce the amount of cords hanging out. Maybe while I’m at it, I’ll pick up one a little Twelve South backpack to hide the external hard drive. I just want my desk to look a little cleaner. Thoughts?

What a beautiful animation. I love that it’s just black and white, except for the red lipstick. I also really like that there’s no dialogue. The music really carries the story.

Finally, disney has released something that’s special again. I hope that there’s more.
