I stumbled on this after watching the new Logan trailer. Sounds great on large speakers.
By the way, I am really pumped for Logan and I’m digging the western theme. Looks like it’s coming out on March 3rd. The fact that it’s rated R is a huuuuuuge plus.

I was in another Uber recently, and the driver told me he was in a surf rock band… so I took the liberty of doing a little research and found some stuff last week.
“January” by Wildfront
“Late Risers” by Surf Rock is Dead.
This song sounds suspiciously inspired by The Cure.
Once again, I’m posting some monday music on a tuesday. Lol. Anyway, I found this on an Uber ride home yesterday evening.
In December 2008, after losing my bag in the flight between Casablanca & Bamako, I had no other choice than staying for a while in the capital of Mali. Waiting for my luggage, I was invited by the painter, Oumar Cisse to stay in the neighborhood of Kalaban Coura (3 miles from the airport). Living there with his family, I was playing the guitar in front of the house everyday. That’s how I met up unexpectedly with guitarist-vocalist Kalil Sidy Haïdara.
Kalil has touched me through his style very much inspired by a traditional instrument called an n’goni (small kora). The whole days we spent jamming on the streets of the Kalaban Coura neighborhood brought back memories of another meeting, dating from 2003, with the Moroccan singer-violinist in Marrakech, Jalal El Allouli: absolutely unexpected and intense. What could be more natural than to envisage bringing together our musical feelings through this new project colored with blues, sounds from the desert and, of course, guitars! – Quentin Dujardin
I’m still going through their album, but I’m really digging this song.
“Let It Go”, James Bay
Okay, technically it’s not monday anymore, but I wanted to post a little music to get your week going.
“The Woods”, Hollow Coves.
Great song. Reminds me of The Present”, by Zealand, featured in the short animation “The Present”.
“Promise”, Ben Howard.
So I posted more than one song for this Monday. I figure I need to catch up on my blogging… so there you have it, a little extra for you this week. 😎
Found this on some random YouTube video I watched recently. Always nice to get a little electronic music in on a monday.
I stumbled on this song accidentally watching a zombie movie. It reminds me a little of 28 days later. I’m really digging the beginning song all the way until 1:40. I kind of wish that it kept going in that direction.
