We drove down friday night to hang out with my family. Here’s a medley of photos from the weekend. Some of them turned out pretty nice!

This was probably my favorite photo of the evening. I can’t believe that this was shot with my 17-55mm f2.8 dx lens. I was going to sell it off, but I think I’m going to keep it. I’m actually starting to like the distortion.

This year, I went to celebrate Thanksgiving with Annie’s family. We were playing beer pong, but replace the beer with shots. And the shots could be substituted with anything the winner wanted.

In the photo below, Jimmy and Kent lost.

Annie prepared the shots of durian (a really pungent fruit).

They knew it was going to be bad.

How bad?

Really bad.

So bad that Jimmy had to chase it with a shot.

I just picked up a used D600. Moving into the full frame territory. I’m going to have to sell off the old gear and move into the more modern stuff. Anyway, here’s my first test shot. It’s just an abstracted pic of an ikea chair.
